*Major Craigsphone Problems...*

To whom it may concern,

I have been an avid Craigsphone user since I got my iPhone 3G two years ago.
Sadly, ever since version 2.0, I have been very disappointed with app, so much so, that I had been continuing to use the older version until now.
However, since I updated to iOS4, the older version crashes everytime I try and open it.
Because of this, I had to install 2.01, and now 2.1 (which is officially iOS4 compatible), but it is just as infuriating as it was with 2.0.

Before I begin, in case it has any sort of relevance, I am in Montreal Canada, so I am using the Montreal version of craigslist.

Now, I have two main complaints with the app (the first is much more significant than the second)

First, I cannot browse properly with the new versions (which kind of defeats the purpose of the app don't you think?)
Lets say for example, I go to the JOBS section of craigslist. If I click on the engineering positions, the app loads a blank page, with no listings. This happens for many other sections as well. The ones that DO display listings, only show me a few listings from the past couple of days, but anything older seems to be cut off.
On the old version, I was able to see postings that were weeks, if not months old.
This is also present in the "personals" and "housing" sections. I can see some recent posts, but it gets cut off and I cannot see any of the slightly older ones (in housing I cant see anything beyond yesterday)

The "for sale" section seems to be ok, and allows me to scroll through a lot of postings, and has a "next 100 postings" at the bottom...

So I hope that explains the main issue I am having.
Since I had been using the old version until now, I hadn't bothered to email you about it. But now that I am forced to use the new one, it finally annoyed me enough to say something, especially since it has now been 3 versions of the app with the same issue.

The second issue I have with the app is a cosmetic issue.
In v2.0, you redesigned the app, which is fine.
However, you only seem to have redesigned the listings themselves. The menus still seem to be using the original style.
The inconsistency of the interface is simply irritating. A user interface should have some form of consistency.
Either pick the new style, or keep the old, but mixing them doesn't work very well.
As you can see, this is less of an issue than the first, simply because this can be fixed at any time, whereas the first issue makes the app unusable.

I have attached a couple of screenshots to demonstrate the first issue.

If you have any further questions, or would like further screenshots/videos of the issue i am experiencing, please feel free to ask.
I would really appreciate if you could get back to me about this as soon as you can.

Thank you.
Robert

    Hello,

It has been over a month now, and the problem still persists... I even have a new iPhone 4 and the issue exists on it as well...

Fo you know if will this require an updated version of Craigsphone? Or is it something that will get fixed in the background?

I'd appreciate any information you might have at this time.

    Thanks
    Best regards,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,

We did fix the issue you had where you could not see the jobs page. If
you're still seeing this issue, try restarting the phone and let me know if
the issue is still there for you. The issue where you cannot see the older
posts is something we'll try to resolve shortly. Thanks again for reporting
these errors to us ... we appreciate the feedback.

    Thanks,
    Sean

I have the same issues as Robert. If I try to respond to an ad it locks my phone up for. Minutes (5+). Usually results in my phone turning off or rebooting. Its so frustrating I'm just going to delete it.

Craigsphone has gone to the topilet, I can't add a pic from my phone to an add and I can't flag an ad

Same here. Think I'm going to uninstall it.
