Quickpedia suggestions

Hi,

I'm the owner of an Android phone. I've been trying some Wikipedia apps from the market this morning, and I can say Quickpedia is the one I'm going to keep and recommend since it's an amazing app. It's elegant, featureful and GPS aware which is more than anyone could ask for.

There are some suggestions I would like to make, though. I figure this is the right place to do that, so there it goes:

-The search button in my phone doesn't seem to do anything in Quickpedia. I think it should be used to bring a search box, whatever you're doing, in order to search for a wikipedia article.

-There is a big yellow "options" box on top of the pages, with the items "bigger fonts", "smaller fonts", "send to friend", "send to self" and "settings". This box occupies a big space on top of the page, that is, it's the first thing you see when you open the page and takes 1/3 of the space in my screen. The options in it would fit perfectly in the menu, which now only has a "reload" option. Also, doing this would mean you could, say, change the font size without scrolling back to the top.

-Finally, I use the English Wikipedia but I know many of the people I know would prefer using the Spanish version. Would it be possible to include a setting to specify which version you want to use? Maybe select one automatically depending on the phone's language?

Thanks for your attention,

David Prieto.

Thanks very much for the detailed feedback. Your points are well-taken, they
are great improvements to the app. It may take a lot of time before we push
an update to this as it is one of our least popular apps. But we've got
your suggestions for when we do an update.

    Hi Ajay,

I have trouble believing this isn't a popular app! I'll definitely have to check on your other apps, if they're more popular than this one.

Anyway, quickpedia is perfectly usable for me as it is, so it's ok if it takes a lot of time to implement this :)

    Best regards.

I too think Quickpedia is the best Wikipedia front-end for the iPhone/iPod. Since I've got an iPod touch 64GB, I'd love to have the option to download the entirety of Wikipedia to my iPod for when I don't have wi-fi access.
